I'm Alex Fisher, creator of Young Professional Finance Blog. A computer engineer by day, and finance geek by night, I along with fellow young professionals post blogs about topics that would concern people in their 20s and 30s as they move from the college life into a developed professional career.

About this site
Young Professional Finance Blog was started in April of 2007. It developed from an interest in finance and a noticeable trend of finance related postings on my former personal blog. The site has been visited from all corners of the world and is usually updated daily.

About Alex Fisher
I'm in my 20's and live in Northville, Michigan. I have a Bachelor of Science in Engineer (Computer Engineering) from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a minor in Hispanic Studies and graduated in 2005. Some of my claims to fame are being on NBC's TODAY show and the cover of the New York Times' Business Section for a wearable computer I helped to build in 1999. I also appeared on CNN and the front page of the Detroit Free Press in 1997 for starting a Computer Consulting business in 10th grade.

One of my main goals is to make the world a better place when I leave it than when I arrived in it. In addition to finance and engineering I enjoy genuine people, travel, Spanish language and culture, business, and exercise.
