A while ago I started a list of movies related to money and success. There's no way to remember them all, but I thought I'd get the list started and let all of you remind me of any I forgot.
Money Movie 1: Wall Street

Who can forget the ultra 80s, go-getter hair and greedy style of Gordon Gekko played by Michael Douglas in Wall Street. When you want to earn insane amounts of money in the market and impress those at the top what better way than a little insider information?
Money Movie 2: Boiler Room

In this great movie that shows how people make very risky decisions without enough information when under pressure and persuasion Seth Davis shows us one way of stealing money. Who can't help but get a kick out of Vin Diesel in an Armani suit selling stocks.
Money Movie 3: Trading Places

One of the best movies about betting money, Trading Places is about two old rich guys that make a bet they can turn a bum into a corporate snob and a corporate snob into a bum.
Money Movie 4: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

A dead man reveals his secret of hidden treasure-- half the directions to one person, half to another, and a third person is hunting them down for it too. Love the soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.
Money Movie 5: American Psycho

A movie so serious and insane it can cause you to laugh it shows the success-focused narcissistic culture of 80s big business. Patrick Bateman, an executive banker on the edge of a hidden insanity starts falling further down the rabbit hole.
Money Movie 6: Heat

A cops and robbers movie staring Pacino and De Niro garnished with Val Kilmer. This probably is the most indirect money movie in this list, but it was pretty cool. Enjoy the song at the end.
Money Movie 7: It's a Wonderful Life

There's more to life than business and money-- especially if you have friends and family like George Bailey in this 1946 classic.
Money Movie 8: Office Space

A mixture of monday's at the office, a Clifford Stoll-like tale of financial computer crime, and a ton of humor. Sometimes doing a job you like instead of the one you think will lead to success and money is the best option.
Money Movie 9: Falling Down

A defense worker trying to keep his country safe who doesn't give a care about money, success, or his briefcase either. This movie is a great commentary of how some people try to do the right thing, continually have bad luck, and aren't willing to take it from society anymore.
Money Movie 10: Opportunity Knocks

The not so well reviewed movie from 1990 of a con man who learns there's more to life than money when he finds love and respect from the people he's trying to con. Ever since Dana Carvey's George Bush impression on SNL he will always be alright in my book
Trading places is simply awesome.
My suggestion is you can include "Pursuit of Happpyness" by will smith to the list.

Kiran.
